NOTE: This form only applies to those who have already attended a trial music session with us.

To become a Member of Ovation Music (this includes performers only) we require the Parent/Guardian (unless age 18 or over) to complete the Registration Form.

    Terms of Service

    1. LESSONS AND PAYMENT

    a. Regular Sessions are provided during school term and are subject to a minimum booking period of one full term (or remainder thereof if starting during a term).
    b. Fees and term dates are published on our Website. Fees are payable termly and in advance of Sessions taking place
    c. Notice to discontinue Sessions can be be given at/by the end of a full term. If notice is not received by us an invoice for the following term will then be issued. A fee equivalent to half of a term will be charged in the event of lessons being cancelled once an invoice has been issued.

    2. MISSED SESSIONS

    a. Cancellations made by a Registered Member of Ovation Music within the booking period are non-refundable.
    b. If we are unavailable to provide a Session due to illness (or any other reason beyond our control), notice will be given and the session will be made up or a credit to the value of the session will apply.

    3. GENERAL

    a. Registered Members of Ovation Music, if over 18 otherwise their Parent/Guardian, are responsible for any loss or damage occurring to any instrument, accessory or music lent by the tutor.
    b. Registered Members of Ovation Music, if over 18 otherwise their Parent/Guardian, are responsible for the insurance of their own instruments.
    c. Registered Members of Ovation Music, if over 18 otherwise their Parent/Guardian, are to inform their Tutor of any medical, or other, condition that may affect a session and/or a performance.

    4. SAFETY

    a. Ovation Music carries appropriate Public Liability Insurance. All our tutors are DBS approved.
    b. Ovation Music only accepts responsibility for the safety of Registered Members (if under 18) once they are under the supervision of the Tutor within the classroom. We do not provide supervision for any persons of any age whilst on the premises and outside of the classroom.
    c. All equipment kept at Chichester College & Globe House, and provided by Ovation Music when in a public place, is the property of Chichester College and Ovation Music and must not be handled or used in any way without permission.

    5. PERFORMANCE

    a. Registered Members of Ovation Music who wish to take part in public performance with or on behalf of Ovation Music must adhere to procedure, regulations and safety notices provided by us, or by the third party Promoter/Organiser/Venue we work with.
    b. Registered Members of Ovation Music, age 16 or under, who wish to take part in any other public performance that is provided by a third party Promoter/Organiser/Venue who we do NOT work with must notify us beforehand.
    c. We accept no responsibility for public performance provided by a third party Promoter/Organiser/Venue who we do NOT work with.
    d. The Parent/Guardian of anyone age 16 or under who wishes to take part in public performance with or on behalf of Ovation Music must complete our performer form (example) in order for us to comply with Child Licensing Legislation.

    6. PUBLICITY

    a. Registered Members (of any age) of Ovation Music may be photographed and these images may be used for promotional purposes including digital publication on the Ovation Music Website and in related Social Media, as well as in local press, and leaflet / brochure advertising.
    b. Live performances given by any Registered Member of Ovation Music may be recorded and/or filmed for promotional purposes including digital publication on the Ovation Music Website and related Social Media, and CD/DVD distribution.
    c Permission (6a, 6b) is requested when registering with Ovation Music. In the case of group photography and/or video we reserve the right to publish images that may include but do not easily identify individuals who decline permission.
    d. IP and copyright on all images and video taken by Ovation Music, or by an approved third party, belongs to Ovation Music. We do not lease or sell copyrighted material to other individuals or organisations.

    7. PRIVACY

    a. Ovation Music complies with Data Protection Legislation (GDPR). Our Privacy Notice is available on the Ovation Music Website, amongst other things it sets out our procedures for handling personal data.
    b. In accordance with our Privacy Notice every person, if over 18 otherwise their Parent/Guardian, registering with Ovation Music is asked to give their permission for us to store and process the minimum amount of personal information we require to provide our music sessions, performance opportunities and other related services.
    c. If permission (7b) is not given, and there is no agreeable alternative, then we reserve the right to decline Membership.
    d. If permission (7b) is withdrawn at a later date, and there is no agreeable alternative, then we reserve the right to cancel Membership.

    8. VARIATION TO TERMS OF SERVICE

    a. These terms of Service may be updated from time to time.
